$$ Business and Finances $$

For many of us, we went into social work in order to help people.  While this mission never ends regardless of what we are doing as social workers, as private practice therapists, it is also helpful to have the mindset of a business person or entrepreneur.  This section is dedicated to these mindset pieces as they relate to the business aspects of private practice.  This is likely going to fall firmly into the category of things you were not taught in school, so don't be surprised if some of this seems a bit alien at first.

For some of you, your background will have sales and business experience, and this will be a huge advantage for you as you put together your private practice.  Either way, this section is dedicated to introducing you to the steps for creating a strong foundation for the business aspects of your practice.

You can also reference Module Two of the Step-by-Step Checklist for more information on this topic.
